Wow! What a big year we’ve had at Pimushe Resort! We want to thank each and every guest who made us a part of their resort summer vacation this year. It is you, our guests, who make our job such an enjoyable, rewarding experience. We look forward to welcoming new and returning faces each year.

We want to take some time to reflect back on some highlights from 2016.

Most memorably was a visit from Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith in June. Smith became a “resorter” for a day to host a roundtable discussion about specific issues owners of small resorts in Minnesota face. We are enthusiastic Smith will use this information to help ease government-imposed regulations for resort owners in the future. Check out our cameo in this Bemidji Pioneer article!

Lakeland Public Television’s documentary Resorts of the Northwoods premiered this summer, highlighting the evolution of Minnesota’s most prolific hospitality industry. The piece featured ten local resorts and we were so honored that Pimushe Resort was the first resort in the lineup. The film does a wonderful job celebrating the diversity of the resorts in Minnesota, from classic fishing resorts and traditional rustic resorts to upscale lodging with all the amenities of home.

As a family friendly resort, our guests are always first on our mind when we make changes or improvements. We’re constantly asking ourselves how we can improve the Minnesota resort vacation experience for our guests. We also pride ourselves in adding personal touches to our resort beach, cabins and more. This year Cabins 1 and 8 got facelifts in their kitchens with new countertops and cupboards. Joanne sewed almost a dozen new quilts for the comfort of our guests in Cabins 4, 6 and 7. And the addition of new sand in the swimming area helped with weed control and rocks.
