Hunting season is right around the corner.  Northern Minnesota is the perfect place to enjoy a hunting trip. Up north, we have deer and various birds and waterfowl including grouse, geese, and ducks.  And according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website, ruffed grouse populations are up 57% across the state this year.

September 1st marked the beginning of hunting openers and they continue throughout the fall. Ruffed grouse opens along with deer bowhunting on September 16. A variety of other waterfowl, bird, and small game openers continue throughout September and October.  A list of the various hunting openers can be found on the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website.
